The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party

Between November 19 and December 4, 2004, The Epoch Times published an editorial series of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The Nine Commentaries gives an uncensored history of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and reveals the real nature of the CCP. Drawing upon official CCP records, eyewitness accounts and personal records, The Nine Commentaries is the most comprehensive analysis of the CCP reign in China, disclosing how it came to power and providing insights into the methods—many of which are disclosed in full for the first time—it has used to rule China for the past 55 years, and how they dominate China’s policies and actions today. On August 18, 2005, the Asian American Journalists Association awarded The Nine Commentaries with top honors in the category of Asian American Issues. Journalism that is Changing the World...

In the months following the publication of the Nine Commentaries, a massive wave of ordinary Chinese people began publicly renouncing their affiliation with the Chinese Communist Party, bringing one of the last Communist strongholds to the brink of collapse. As of June 2007, over 20 million Chinese citizens have publicly renounced their membership in the Chinese Communist Party and affiliated organizations, with the number growing by over 30 000 people each day.

This unprecedented phenomena is disintegrating the CCP’s control over the people and its tenuous grip on power, and is proving to be the real cause for much of China’s dubious behavior of late, from military threats on Taiwan, to igniting anti-Japan sentiments to tighter controls over the Internet inside China.
